Our mission: "The mission of the Minoa Free Library is to enhance the quality of life for our citizens and visitors by providing resources, print and electronic, that educate, enlighten and entertain. The library also recognizes a need to welcome children to discover the pleasures of reading and the value of the public library."

Policies & Services

  • Materials: Minoa loans out most materials (books, audiobooks, magazines) for a 3-week loan. The loan period for other media (videos and dvds) is 1-week. There is a three-day grace period on 3-week loans, and a 1-day grace period on 1-week loans. We welcome telephone renewals, if the item can be renewed. Fines for all materials are 10 cents per day, the lowest rate in Onondaga County.
  • Minoa Free Library will fax items for customers at the following rates: for up to 5 pages per transmission, within the 315 area code, $1; for up to five pages per transmission outside the 315 area code, $3. Pages beyond 5 are charged at the rate of 25 cents per page. Incoming faxes for customers are also charged at the rate of 25 cents per page.
  • Minoa Free Library has a self-service photocopier available for the public. It will do 8 1/2 X 11, 8 1/2 X 14 and 11 X 17 sized copies for ten cents per shot. It will enlarge and reduce, but does not do double-sided copies or copy in color.

Board of Trustees

The Minoa Free Library Board of Trustees meets at 5:30 PM on the fourth Thursday of the following months: January, March, May (the Annual Meeting followed by a regular Board meeting), June and September and November. The Minoa Free Library Board consists of:
