Materials:
Most materials (books, audiobooks, magazines) go out for a 3-week loan with 2 renewals when available. Minoa Library items will renew automatically up to twice when available. DVDs, Blu-Rays and seasonal items have a 1-week loan period with 2 renewals when available. TV Series on DVD may have a 3-week loan period. Tech Pack Chromebook with MiFi Hotspot can be borrowed for 1 week for use at home without internet connection. Will accrue late charges if returned late. Explore Outdoor Pass gives free access and/or parking to several Onondaga County Parks, and checks out for 3 days. Cannot be renewed, will accrue lates charges if returned late. Empire Pass gives free access to one vehicle to New York State Parks, and checks out for 3 days. Cannot be renewed, will accrue late charges if returned late. MOST Pass gives free admission for up to 6 people per visit. It checks out for 3 days and cannot be renewed. Will accrue late charges if returned late. We are now fine-free, no fines are charged on books, magazines, DVDs, or Blu-Rays. Tech Packs and Passes still carry fines if returned past the due date and do not automatically renew. Holiday Items have no renewals during that holiday season. Renewals: We welcome telephone renewals if the item can be renewed. Most Minoa Library-owned materials may be returned at any Onondaga County Public Library branch. Renewals may also be made online at onlib.org As a Member Library of the Onondaga County Public Library system, music CDs and records, as well as other items that we may not have on our shelves, can be reserved and sent to the library of your choice. Requested (Hold) items waiting for pick up are held for 8 days. Notification that an item is ready for pick up are sent to the email, phone, and/or text number on record, per your preference. Downloadable ebooks, audiobooks, music, and videos are available through the OCPL Digital Catalog. Downloadable ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines are available using the Libby app. Downloadable ebooks, audiobooks, music, and movies are available from hoopla, must be a Minoa Library patron. _________________________________________________

Services      Fax Services: Items are faxed at the following rates:
315 & 680 area codes & toll-free: $1 for the first 5 pages; long distance area code: $3 for the first 5 pages; 25¢ a page beyond the first 5 pages will be charged for all outgoing Faxes. To receive incoming Faxes, the rate is 25¢ per page. Photocopier: A self-service black & white copy machine is available for the public at 10¢ a page, 15¢ for double-sided. It will copy 8 1/2 X 11 or 8 1/2 X 14 inch paper (legal size). It will enlarge and reduce, does double-sided copies, but prints in black & white only. Scanner Services: We can scan documents to your flash drive. We have a flash drive available for temporary use in the library. There is no fee for this service. Computers: Computers are available for public use at no fee. All computers are connected to a PRINTER: black & white: 10¢ a page (first page is free), 15¢ a double-sided page; color: 25¢ a page (no free page, check with staff to change printer settings) Computers are shut down 15 minutes prior to closing. Wireless Internet: FREE Wireless Internet access: Look for Library Public Password: password (no caps) Tech Pack Chromebook with MiFi Hotspot: can be borrowed for 1 week for use at home with the mobile internet connection Hotspot included in the kit. It may be renewed up to twice if there are no requests to hold it.. Placing a hold for a Tech Pack is highly recommended. Must be returned to the same pick up location during their open hours. Online Services: Access to your account information is available online at onlib.org using your OCPL Library Card # and 4-digit PIN. You can also renew items, or search and place a request (hold) for items at other locations to be sent to the branch of your choice. OCPL Catalog is also linked on our Home page, with Digital Catalog for downloadable items, as well as Databases. Please note: your email address is used only for notices about your account: item is almost due, item is late, item has automatically been renewed, etc. hoopla downloadable ebooks, audiobooks, music, movies, and more are available for those registered at Minoa Library, using your Library Card # and PIN. The Minoa Free Library will accept book donations of fiction, adult or children’s, at various times throughout the calendar year, which must be approved by the staff. The Library will look at up to 2 boxes or bags of books per visit. Books must be in excellent condition and either recent or of ongoing interest to contemporary readers. Once donated, all items become the unconditional property of the Library. Gift receipts for income tax purposes are available upon request. No returns, no refunds.
