In this hands-on session, we’ll delve into nature journaling, discover how the Rosamond Gifford Zoo uses art to enrich the lives of animals, emphasize the importance of conservation, and inspire a deeper appreciation for the wildlife around us.

How to Write a Scary Story

Ages 8-12
Learn how to write a scary story in this 2-part series (August 4 and August 6) taught by 10-year old Kyla Kopko. You’ll learn how to create characters and storyline. Kyla likes writing ghost stories and has won an award for her writing. She’ll share strategies for writing something interesting while having fun doing it.

Peaceful Kids Yoga

Science Heroes and Summer Finale

Join Science Heroes on our mission to turn science into an adventure! Through hands-on experiments and fun, interactive stories, we get kids excited about the science that’s all around us as we celebrate the scientists who color our world with art.

Chair Yoga

Ages 18+
Sign up EACH week. Have you always wanted to try yoga but had concerns about getting up and down from the floor? Join us for Chair Yoga. The class will be seated and focus on stretching, breathing, and gentle muscle-strengthening exercises. The certified yoga teacher can adapt the movements to particular mobility concerns you may have.
